There will be a change in leadership in the new year for Feeding America, Kentucky’s Heartland.

Elizabethtown’s The News-Enterprise reported Saturday that Charles Dennis will be the new executive director, replacing Jamie Sizemore, who has been in the position since 2018. The change is effective January 1, 2024.

Dennis is an Arkansas native and a graduate of Lyon College. He currently works with around 20 food banks across the country, including the regional effort. He said it was time to focus on one region instead of several.

Dennis said he would like to continue the work that Sizemore has built and feels the strategic plan that the organization has is a great one.

Locally, the group serves Caldwell, Christian, Lyon, Todd, and Trigg counties by providing food to area food banks.
