A Joshua Tree, California man was charged after an investigation into a stolen gun in Trigg County Wednesday afternoon.
Trigg County Sheriff Aaron Acree says a woman reported her gun taken out of her barn by 38-year-old Shawn Smith who was on her property doing maintenance work for her.
Smith was reportedly located on Broadbent Boulevard and admitted to taking the gun stating it was a “stupid move”.
He was arrested and charged with theft by unlawful taking.
