Sonic restaurant in Cadiz is open for business after a small fire caused minimal damage early Wednesday morning.
The Cadiz Fire Department was dispatched to Sonic on Main Street shortly after 5:30. Fire Chief Thomas Futtrell says when firefighters and Cadiz Police arrived on the scene they found a small fire in a deep fryer. Futtrell says after the fryer was unplugged the fire went out.
Futtrell says no employees were inside the restaurant when the fire occurred. He adds there were no injuries to anyone involved with putting out the fire.
Shortly after 6:00 Wednesday morning the restaurant was open for business.
