A Hopkinsville man was charged after a pursuit with law enforcement on Saturday afternoon.
Hopkinsville Police say they attempted to stop 27-year-old Quantrell Kendrick for speeding on North Main Street and he fled at speeds of 60 mph, went the wrong way on a one-way, and tossed a jar of marijuana out of the vehicle.
The pursuit reportedly came to an end on South Clay Street and he was found to have an open bottle of alcohol in the vehicle.
He was arrested and charged with failure to wear a seat belt, first-degree fleeing or evading police, possession of marijuana, operating on a suspended or revoked license, possession of an open alcohol beverage container in a motor vehicle, tampering with physical evidence, improper turning, speeding, and failure to maintain required insurance.
He was also found to have warrants for non-payment of fines and two counts of failure to appear.
