Brian went on to be with The Lord In the early morning hours of November 7th, 2023, after a courageous two-year battle with cancer. Brian passed peacefully in his home in Ponte Vedra, surrounded by family, friends, and dog (Georgia), who loved him so dearly.

Born and raised in the hills of Western Kentucky, Brian was a kind human being, lover of life, amazing husband/father/son/brother, and an exceptional example of a Christian man. One of the most selfless people you will ever find, Brian never met a stranger. His Kentucky roots ran deep, and no matter where he lived, you could see that blue bleed through and those Southern one-liners ring loud. His quick wit and infectious smile immediately lightened the mood in any room he stepped.

After graduating from the University of Kentucky, Brian married his wife, Jeri Lynn, in 2006; and ultimately had two children – Emerson Cate (10) and Baylor Whitson (6). An unbelievable husband and father, Brian preferred to stay busier than a long-tailed cat in a room full of rocking chairs. He coached the kids in sports, attended recitals, and “prayed ‘em up” before every meal. A model son and unwavering brother, he was a hero to his nieces and nephews, where he could often be heard sharing his uncanny wisdom – “Get in where you fit in!”

Brian spent most of his working career with Regency Centers Corporation, where he was faithfully supported until his passing.

Brian loved his family, animals, sports (#UKWildcats, #STLCardinals, #Kirby’sCrew) – and just genuinely having a great time! It brings his family great comfort and joy that the Heavenly party has certainly already begun!

In lieu of flowers, Brian and his family request that any generosities be directed to an already-established GoFundMe campaign, Brian’s GoFundMe page.
