A man was injured in a single-vehicle wreck on Pennyrile Parkway in Hopkinsville Thursday afternoon.
Christian County Sheriff’s deputies say an SUV was southbound when for an unknown reason it collided with a rock embankment at the US 68 exit.
Other drivers were able to get the driver of the SUV outside of the vehicle before it caught fire.
The driver was treated and transported by Hopkinsville EMS to Jennie Stuart Health for injuries.
Deputies say they would like to thank all of the other drivers who stopped and helped pull the man from the vehicle before it caught fire.
The crash happened just after 4 p.m.
