Man Charged After High-Speed Pursuit In Hopkinsville

A man was charged after he reportedly fled from law enforcement on Pembroke Road Monday morning.

Christian County Sheriff’s deputies say they attempted to stop 33-year-old Malik Travis-Dquan Bryant for going 39mph over the speed limit near the intersection of Edwards Mill Road and he fled at speeds of 100mph.

During the pursuit, he reportedly cut off other vehicles and was making aggressive turns.  The pursuit came to an end in the TGASK parking lot off Frank Yost Lane and he allegedly told deputies he was late for work and should have stopped but decided not to.

He was arrested and charged with first-degree fleeing or evading police, speeding, reckless driving, failure to signal, possessing two operator licenses, no registration plates, and no insurance.
