Man Charged With Assaulting Police Officers In Oak Grove

A man was charged with assaulting police officers after a report of a disturbance in Oak Grove Sunday morning.

Oak Grove Police say they were called to Winners Way for a disturbance and found 32-year-old Dedrick Brodie who was pushing people.

He reportedly kicked an officer in the face and injured another while resisting arrest but was quickly taken into custody. Police say he continued to fight with officers after being arrested at the jail.

He is currently lodged in the Christian County Jail on charges of third-degree assault of a police officer, resisting arrest, second-degree disorderly conduct, alcohol intoxication in a public place, and third-degree criminal mischief.

Police say more charges are pending as they continue to investigate the whole incident.
