A man was charged after he reportedly assaulted his girlfriend on Clara Drive in Pembroke Monday morning.
Christian County Sheriff’s deputies say they were called about 28-year-old Daquan Butler who grabbed his girlfriend by the hair and threw her on the floor, punched her several times, and put his knee on her neck.
He reportedly left the area naked in a car before deputies arrived. He was later located and charged with second-degree strangulation and fourth-degree assault (domestic violence).
Deputies say Butler’s girlfriend was taken by law enforcement to get an emergency protective order.
