Margaret Ann Young, 83, Hopkinsville, KY, passed away on Monday, September 18, 2023, at Jennie Stuart Medical Center, Hopkinsville, KY of natural causes.
A private family graveside service was held on Friday, September 22, 2023, at Green Hill Memorial Gardens with Rev. Richard Sexton officiating. Lamb Funeral Home assisted with arrangements.
A native of Hopkinsville, KY, she was born December 1, 1939, the daughter of the late Ernest Clay “Spike” Fields and Margaret Violet (Henderson) Fields.
Margaret was a seamstress at Elk Brand Clothing Factory. She also worked with her family at 9th Street Fruit Stand in downtown Hopkinsville. She was a member of the Highland Presbyterian Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Winburn Girdie Young.
Survivors include her daughter, Pam (David) Bostick, Hopkinsville, KY; her brother, Robert Allen (Dawn) Fields, Gulf Shores, AL; her sister, Linda Sue Tucker, Hopkinsville, KY; her grandchildren, Ashley Clayton and Brett Clayton; and great-grandchildren, Layla Clayton and Milo Clayton.
