Walton E. ‘Woody’ Woodall, Jr., 83, of Caldwell County

Funeral services for 83-year-old Walton E. “Woody” Woodall, Jr., of Caldwell County, will be 11 AM Friday at Morgan’s Funeral Home in Princeton.

Burial, with military honors, will follow in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Caldwell County.

Visitation will be from 4-8 PM Thursday, with Masonic Rites beginning at 7 PM.

Survivors include:
His wife, Pam Woodall, of Caldwell County;
Daughters, Kadonna (Ken) Henderson, of Murray, and Wendy (Christopher Stowe) Woodall, of Washington, DC;
Step-sons, Brian (Bethanie) Curtis, Jr., of Cadiz, and Christopher (Sarah) Curtis, of Tucker, Georgia;
Brother, Denny (Lynann) Woodall, of Marion;
Sister, Sandra (Joe Cliff) Pippin, of Savannah, Tennessee;
And several grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Bro. Billy Joe Nichols is officiating.

He died in his home on September 18, 2023.

He was born February 12, 1940, in Dawson Springs, to the late Walton, Sr. and Geneva Woodall.

After 32 years of Army service to his nation as a combat engineer, Woodall retired at the rank of Command Sergeant Major in 1994.

He was a heavily decorated soldier, receiving multiple awards, including the Purple Heart for wounds received during combat in the Vietnam War. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and Fredonia Baptist Church. An avid University of Kentucky fan, he was always seen wearing his latest UK gear.
