Graveside Services for 91-year-old Rose Clare Bridges Freeman of Cadiz will be Friday, September 15, 2023, at  11:00 AM at Starkie Thomas Cemetery in Cadiz.

Memorial Visitation will be at Goodwin Funeral Home on Wednesday, September 13, 2023, at 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM

Grandchildren – Six grandchildren, Courtney (Brent) Kennedy Coley, Andrew (Micah) Kennedy, Morgan Freeman Wyatt, Peyton Smith Freeman, Jackie Oliver, Jr., and Misty (Josh) Boyer Thomas
10 great-grandchildren, Bryan Stepp, Hailey Rodgers, Elijah Larkin, Pasliee Coley, Cloud Kennedy, Emery Rose Wyatt, Sonny Lawrence Wyatt, Sean Meador, Zachary Meador, and Alexander James Oliver

Rose Clare Bridges Freeman passed away at 12:28 AM, Sunday, September 10, 2023, at her Daughter’s Home in Eddyville.
Born January 15, 1932, in Trigg County, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late J. Carl Bridges and the late Julia Thomas Bridges.

Rose was a graduate of Trigg County High School and attended Bethel Women’s College and Hopkinsville Community College. In 1963 she moved with her husband and young children to Todd County where Rose was very active in the community and was elected to the Guthrie City Council, her initial induction into local government. After returning to Trigg County some years later, she accepted the position of Chief Deputy in the Trigg County Circuit Clerk’s office, and in 1982 she was elected to serve Trigg County as its Circuit Clerk.
Rose was a longtime member of Oak Grove Baptist Church where she served as a Sunday school teacher for many years. She was a member of Ophelia Chapter #55, Order of the Eastern Star, the Thomas Bridges Association, and a charter member of the James Thomas Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution. She enjoyed spending time with her family, reading, coloring, and word search puzzles.
