Man And Woman Charged In Stolen Vehicle Investigation

A Woodlawn, Tennessee man and an Oak Grove woman were charged during a stolen vehicle investigation in Hopkinsville Thursday night.

Hopkinsville Police say they were alerted of a stolen vehicle in the area and located it at Huck’s on East 9th Street.

46-year-old James Ashby was reportedly seen getting out of the driver’s side of the vehicle and 36-year-old Elizabeth Smith was inside the truck.

After a search of the truck, 29 grams of meth and used needles were reportedly located.

Smith was arrested and charged with possession of meth and drug paraphernalia. Ashby was arrested and charged with receiving stolen property, trafficking meth, and operating on a suspended or revoked license.
