Two Charged After Hopkinsville Pursuit

A Hopkinsville man and a Cadiz woman were charged after a short pursuit in Hopkinsville Thursday morning.

Hopkinsville Police say they attempted to stop a car driven by 34-year-old Bryson Lumbard in the area of Calvin Drive for speeding and he fled at speeds of 70 mph.

The pursuit reportedly came to an end on North Cherokee Trace Boulevard and Lumbard and his passenger 34-year-old Jessica Lacy attempted to flee on foot but were quickly apprehended.

They were both found to have warrants on charges of probation violation, failure to appear, and contempt of court.

Lacy was charged with first-degree fleeing or evading police. Lumbard was charged with speeding, disregarding a stop sign, reckless driving, operating a vehicle with an expired operator’s license, and two counts of first-degree fleeing or evading police.
