Calloway’s KenLake Foods Expanding, Adding 15 Jobs

A wholly-owned food producing subsidiary of The Kroger Company, KenLake Foods in Calloway County will soon be expanding and adding jobs to the region.

During his weekly “Team Kentucky” update Thursday morning, Governor Andy Beshear announced the approval of incentives for a $24 million project creating 15 new jobs — jobs that could come open to commuters.

Located at 300 North L.P. Miller Street in downtown Murray, the facility has provided snack, baking and produced nuts since 1982.

It’s home to the first of 41 such facilities in the country providing goods back to the national grocery chain, and today employs more than 340 people on its premises.
