The process of bringing together a quartet of non-profit mental health agencies in western Kentucky is expected to be finalized by the end of the year.
During a visit with the Elkton Rotary Club Wednesday – Lifeskills CEO Joe Dan Beavers said the transaction should wrap up around January 1, 2024. The consolidation includes LifeSkills, out of Bowling Green, Communicare, in Elizabethtown, Four Rivers Behavioral Health, based in Paducah, and the Pennyroyal Center, out of Hopkinsville.
The partnership, dubbed Community Health Network of Kentucky, would create one of the largest community mental health centers in the Commonwealth.
Beavers, a Princeton native, added the new footprint would see them working with 35 counties instead of the 18 they currently serve.
Beavers said the partnership would allow each organization to continue providing services they excel in.
