Library Board Removes Interim Tag For Luna

Effective August 1, officials with the Hopkinsville Christian County Public Library have announced Tiffany Luna as its next executive director — removing the interim tag in the process.

She replaces DeeAnna Sova, who after years with the institution took over in a new role with Ascend Elements.

Luna has been with the HCCPL for seven years, beginning in 2016 as a part-time circulation library assistant. In 2017, she was promoted to youth services librarian, and in 2019 was advanced to operations director.

She donned the interim tag of executive director in February 2023.

An instrumental part of managing the staff, the continued development of the adult collection, she’s overseen the implementation of new programs — including the new RFID
systems and the laptop checkout program.

In a written statement, Luna said she’s honored to have been part of the library’s past growth, and is “am excited to be a part of its continued growth.”

She earned her master’s of library science in 2020 from Clarion College University, and maintains her community involvement by serving as a board member with the Pennyrile Arts Council and Sanctuary Incorporated.

Bart Cayce, HCCPL board chair, said Luna has done a “great job” during her time as the interim, and that the board “looks forward” to seeing how she puts her mark on the library.

HCCPL continues to provide free programs, resources and services for the community
of Christian County. For more information about programs and events at HCCPL, go
