Trigg County Fiscal Court Approves 2023 Tax Rate

Trigg County residents may notice a slight decrease in their tax bill this year. Trigg County Fiscal Court Monday night approved the first reading of the 2023 Tax Rate.

County Clerk, Carmen Finley presented magistrates with her audit report saying there were 5.8 million dollars in receipts for 2022.

click to download audioThe proposed tangible property tax will stay at 11.43 percent. Motor Vehicle and Watercraft will be reduced from 10 percent to 9.4 percent. The Hospital Real Property rate will be reduced to 8.5 from 9 percent as will the Ambulance District rate.

A second reading of the Tax Rate will be held on September 18.
