Crimestoppers Seeking Suspect With Lengthy History

Law enforcement is asking for the community’s help locating a man wanted for several felony charges including fleeing from law enforcement and attempted assault of a police officer Thursday afternoon.

Hopkinsville Police say 26-year-old Earl Cook Jr. is wanted on charges of failure to appear, first-degree fleeing or evading police, attempted first-degree assault of a police officer, criminal mischief, and several more. This would be his 15th arrest in Kentucky alone but he has a criminal record in other states.

Police say he has a long history of assaulting law enforcement and fleeing from them along with weapon charges.

A $500 reward is being offered by the Hopkinsville Christian County Crime Stoppers for any information that leads to his arrest.

Police say anyone caught helping him hide from law enforcement or get away from law enforcement could be charged with hindering prosecution or apprehension.

Police ask if you have any information on his whereabouts to call the Hopkinsville Christian County Crime Stoppers at 270-887-TIPS.
