Haley Lynn Groves Powell, age 40, of Hopkinsville, passed away on Monday, August 14, 2023, at her parent’s home of natural causes. Funeral Services will be 1:00 PM Friday, August 18, 2023, at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home in Hopkinsville, and burial to follow in Rawlins Cemetery in Pembroke. Visitation will be at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home in Hopkinsville from 10:00 AM until the service hour at 1:00 PM Friday, August 18, 2023. Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home has been entrusted by the family to handle the arrangements.
Mrs. Powell was born on October 14, 1982, in Hopkinsville, KY; the daughter of Davie and Sherry White Groves of Hopkinsville, KY. Haley was a loving wife, mother, daughter, and sister; she was also a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Willie Groves; maternal grandparents, Tom and Shirley White.
In addition to her parents Davie and Sherry Groves, survivors include her husband of 19 years, Lance Rawlins Powell of Hopkinsville, KY; her son, Gavin Powell of the home; her sister, Ashley Humphries, and her husband Philip of Hopkinsville, KY; her paternal grandmother, Shirley Groves of Hopkinsville; her father and mother-in-law, Paul and Brenda Powell of Hopkinsville; her brother-in-law, Jason Powell of Hopkinsville; and her sister-in-law, Morgan Simpson of Hopkinsville.
