Traffic Stop Leads To Meth Charges For Hopkinsville Woman

A Hopkinsville woman was charged with possession of drugs after a traffic stop on Canton Street Tuesday night.

Hopkinsville Police say 38-year-old Kayce Lancaster was stopped for a broken brake light and during the stop she was found to have an expired driver’s license. During the stop, a law enforcement K9 alerted on the vehicle and Lancaster admitted to having meth and it was found in her purse along with a smoking pipe with meth residue on it hidden on her body.

She was arrested and charged with improper turning, operating a vehicle with an expired operator’s license, tampering with physical evidence, and possession of meth.
