Man Charged With Assaulting And Threatening Hopkinsville Police Officer

A Hopkinsville man was charged for assaulting a police officer and pointing a gun at them on Wing Tip Circle Thursday morning.

Hopkinsville Police say they were called to the home for a man walking around yelling in a bathrobe with a gun and found 70-year-old Yahshua Muhammad who allegedly pointed a gun at police when confronted.

He then allegedly punched one officer in the chest while being arrested.

He was arrested and charged with first-degree wanton endangerment, disorderly conduct, third-degree assault of a police officer, and resisting arrest.
