The attorney for a Christian County man charged with sexual assault and incest has asked for a bill of particulars in the case.
20-year-old Marcus Nolt appeared in Christian County Circuit Court Wednesday before Judge Andrew Self. Nolt’s attorney, Bill Deatherage, asked the court for a bill of particulars, which is a written itemization or detailed statement of the charges. Only a defense attorney can request a bill of particulars in a criminal case.
Nolt is charged with two counts of first-degree sexual abuse of a victim under 12 and two counts of incest of a victim under 18.
The Christian County Circuit Court indictment alleges Nolt sexually assaulted his sister, who is under 12 years old, on two occasions in 2021 and sexually assaulted his brother and a different sister during the same time frame.
Nolt’s parents — Nathanial and Alma Nolt — were both charged with facilitating the acts, with police saying the parents knowingly allowed their son to commit the sexual assaults of his siblings in their home.
Bolen said it should take her office between seven and ten days to respond to the motion with a pretrial conference set for September 6.
