Cadiz Farmers Market Pavilion Construction Starting Late August

Construction of the Put a Roof On It project to build a Cadiz Farmers Market Pavilion is slated to begin in late August.

Cadiz Mayor Todd King says he was recently notified about the potential start date for the project that has been in the works for several months.

click to download audioThe farmers market pavilion was originally planned for the former location on the lot beside the Cadiz Renaissance Stage and the Cadiz Baptist Church annex. After two failed attempts to build the structure, the City of Cadiz decided to move the farmer’s market to the former Washer’s IGA parking lot. The project was re-bid earlier this summer, with lower bids allowing for the construction of restrooms in addition to the farmers market pavilion.
