The Todd County Funeral Home is saddened to announce the passing of Mr. Doug Sigers, aged 64, of Kirkmansville. He passed away on Wednesday, July 12th at his daughter’s home. Doug was born on August 30, 1958, in Hopkinsville, Kentucky, to the late Willis and Linnie Wells Sigers. He was a devoted member of the Pleasant View Missionary Baptist Church and had a deep love for his family, playing cards, hunting, and fishing.
Doug was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Sigers, in 2018, as well as his two brothers, Glendle and Ralph Sigers. He is survived by his loving daughter, Amanda Oliver Brent of Kirkmansville, and his two grandchildren, Blake and Taylor Oliver. He is also survived by his nephew, Dewayne Sigers, and niece, Becky Rose.
Visitation with the Sigers family will be held on Saturday, July 15th, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the Todd County Funeral Home. The funeral service will be conducted on Sunday afternoon at 2:00 PM in the Rose Chapel of the Todd County Funeral Home, with Reverend Daxton Lear officiating. Interment will follow at the Johnston Cemetery in Kirkmansville.
