An art show is coming to Hopkinsville later this month — Underground Hoptown is a space for creatives to come together to network, showcase, and sell their art.

Organizer and photographer Cat Lacy said there will be over 20 artists displaying every type of art you can think of: paintings, woodworking, pottery, photography, and even the culinary arts.

The Alhambra Theatre will also have a table at the show.

Lacy added the art show will feature live music — played by its visitors. Anyone is welcome to bring their instrument and participate in Underground Hoptown’s “jam band”.

Underground Hoptown first appeared at the historic Alhambra Theatre during the pandemic and has since been on a hiatus until Lacy’s previous show in May. Lacy hopes to hold the art show every month and already has plans for future shows.

In the future, Lacy said she wants to do more with the community’s youth so they can have a creative outlet and opportunity to sell their art.

Underground Hoptown will be held on Thursday, July 27, from 5-9 p.m. at the TownePlace Suites in Hopkinsville.
