Farm Broadcaster Max Armstrong Retiring After 48-Year Career

Farm Broadcaster Max Armstrong is retiring after a 48-year career sharing the message of agriculture and visiting with farmers across the United States.

Armstrong began his career at the Illinois Farm Bureau, then spent several years on the air in Chicago with Orion Samuelson on WGN. Armstrong also co-hosted “This Week In Agribusiness” with Samuelson that airs weekly on television stations across the country. And Armstrong has spent several years hosting “The Midwest Digest Program” and “Farm Progress America” radio shows.

Armstrong says among the highlights of his career has been meeting farmers and those in agribusiness across the country.
