Hopkinsville Council Hears Storm Debris Cleanup Report

Storm damage cleanup from two March wind storms that left widespread damage across Hopkinsville is continuing at a steady pace, with work expected to wrap up by August.

Hopkinsville Solid Waste General Manager Richard Hopper told City Council during Thursday night’s Committee of the Whole meeting that a significant amount of tree and storm debris has been hauled to the landfill.

Meanwhile, the council tentatively voted to approve a recommended change in school resource officer hours and scheduling that Hopkinsville Police Chief Jason Newby presented.
