Mary Patricia Hodge, 78, of Cadiz

A memorial mass for 78-year-old Mary Patricia Hodge (née Fenlon) will be at 11 AM Tuesday, June 27, at St. Stephen Catholic Church.

Interment will be at St. Henry Cemetery in Aurora.

Visitation will begin at 10 AM, with a Rosary service to follow at 10:30 AM prior to the mass.

Arrangements are being handled by Goodwin Funeral Home.

Survivors include:
Her sister, Pauline Loranger, of Cadiz;
Three brothers, David Fenlon, Gary Fenlon, and Frank Fenlon, all of Ontario, Canada;
Two daughters, Lisa Papineau of New Albany, Indiana, and Sherry Sweat, of Cadiz;
Five grandchildren, two sisters-in-law in Donna Chapin and Margaret Bradford, both of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, her beloved pet, Copper, and a multitude of extended family and friends.

Father Gregory Trawick will preside.

Hodge died Tuesday, June 20, 2023, at her home in Cadiz.

Born March 17, 1945, in Kingston, Ontario, Canada, she was the daughter of the late Joseph David Fenlon and Eileen Burns Fenlon.

She had a career in administration, working for Thurman Campbell Group for more than 15 years, and the U.S. Cavalry Store in Oak Grove, where she retired with 20 years of service.

She was an active member of St. Stephen Catholic Church in Cadiz, where she volunteered her help on a regular basis. She also extended her volunteer services to Pennyrile Allied Community Services, helping seniors during tax season.

Mary enjoyed exercising and participating in yoga classes, walking her dog Copper, and working jigsaw puzzles.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gary Hodge.

At Mary’s request, memorial contributions can be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
