Man Charged In Connection To Evergreen Park Drive Shooting

A man has been charged along with two teenagers in connection to a shooting on Evergreen Park Drive that sent a third teenager to the hospital Wednesday afternoon.

Hopkinsville Police say they have charged 18-year-old Delrico McKissick Thursday night with complicity to second-degree assault in connection to the shooting.

Law enforcement was called to the area for a report of 10 to 15 shots fired just before 4 pm Wednesday.

While investigating, an officer was reportedly waved down by someone taking a female teenager to the hospital who was shot in the leg.

Police say shell casings were spread out across the front yard of a house on Evergreen Park Drive at the intersection of Heather Place and two teenagers at the home were taken into custody to be interviewed.

After talking with the teenagers, they were arrested on charges of complicity to second-degree assault and possession of a handgun by a minor and they were taken to McCracken Regional Juvenile Detention Center in Paducah.

The female teenager’s injuries are not believed to be life-threatening, Police say adding it appears a bullet grazed her.
