Facilities Plan Approved By Christian County School Board

The Christian County Board of Education is moving forward with the District Facilities Plan. Thursday night, Board Members unanimously voted to approve the recommendation from the Local Planning Committee, which will allow them to shuffle schools in the near future to move sixth grade back into the middle schools.

District IT Director, Jason Wilson says there will not be a redistricting if Martin Luther King Jr Elementary is closed, just a distribution of students.

click to download audioAnother concern, she says is keeping the culture of Indian Hills the same. There will be a public hearing on the District Facilities Plan at the beginning of July, where final comments can be made before it is submitted to the Kentucky Department of Education.
