A man was charged with fleeing from law enforcement in Oak Grove Wednesday night.
Oak Grove Police say they attempted to stop 30-year-old Marquel Maxwell on Fort Campbell Boulevard for speeding and he fled at a high rate of speed leading them on a short pursuit before coming to a stop.
He was reportedly found to have a gun and drugs in his possession.
Maxwell was arrested and charged with operating on a suspended or revoked license, tampering with physical evidence, failure to maintain required insurance, speeding, reckless driving, first-degree fleeing or evading police, failure to register motor vehicle, disregarding a traffic control device, and first-degree possession of a controlled substance (drug unspecified).
