Christian County Supports Cameron In Governor Primary

Christian County primary election voters put their support behind Attorney General Daniel Cameron in the Republican gubernatorial primary.

Cameron garnered 907 votes to take 40 percent in Christian County, with Commissioner of Agriculture Ryan Quarles receiving 31 percent of the vote with 702 votes, and Kelly Craft taking third with 18 percent of the Republican ballots.

In the Democratic gubernatorial primary, Andy Beshear easily took the nod for his party with 87 percent of the votes.

In the Commissioner of Agriculture Republican primary Richard Heath won Christian County with 51 percent of the vote compared to 49 percent for Jonathon Shell. Shell easily won the statewide race over Heath with 56 percent of the ballots.

In democratic Agriculture Commissioner Sierra Enlow from Larue County easily won over Mikael Malone in Christian County with 58 percent of the vote. Enlow went on to win the statewide nomination for Agriculture Commissioner with 59 percent of the vote.
