A man and child were injured in a single-vehicle wreck on Dawson Springs Road near the entrance of Pennyrile State Forest Thursday afternoon.
Christian County Sheriff’s deputies say Johnnie Phiffer Jr. was northbound when his truck ran off the edge of the road overturning several times before coming to a stop on its wheels.
Phiffer was taken by private vehicle to the hospital. A child in the vehicle was transported by Hopkinsville EMS to Baptist Health in Madisonville for injuries.
The crash happened just before 5 p.m.
