Juvenile Charged In Thursday Armed Robbery

A teenager has been charged in connection to an armed robbery on North Elm Street in Hopkinsville Thursday morning.

Hopkinsville Police say the 16-year-old and another person were armed with guns and took a man’s personal belongings near the intersection of Means Avenue. As police attempted to stop the teenager who was on foot in the area he fled the scene but was quickly apprehended. Police say he was found to have a lighter that was taken in the robbery.

No one was injured in the robbery and the second suspect has not been located. The juvenile is charged with first-degree robbery and second-degree fleeing or evading police
