Cerulean Woman Injured In Eagle Way Crash

Police have released the name of a Cerulean woman that was severely injured in a wreck on Eagle Way at the intersection of Kentucky 272  Monday afternoon.

Hopkinsville Police say a dump truck driven by 53-year-old Dwight Cotton, of St. Charles, was on Eagle Way when he failed to stop in time at the traffic light and collided with a van driven by 62-year-old Kathy Chewning that was on Kentucky 272.

The dump truck overturned losing its load of asphalt.

Chewning had to be cut from the vehicle and then transported to a waiting helicopter that flew her to Skyline Medical Center in Nashville. A 4-year-old child in Chewning’s van was not injured in the crash.
