Memorial Services for 95-year-old Frances “Fran” Rainey of Cadiz, will be Sunday, April 30, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. at Goodwin Funeral Home in Cadiz.
Visitation will be at Goodwin Funeral Home on Sunday, April 30, 2023, at 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Survivors include:
Son – David Rainey (Carla), Cadiz
Son – William Rainey, Jr. (Donna), Aurora
Son – Walter Rainey (Mary), Chester, Ill.
Five grandchildren

Frances “Fran” Rainey passed away on:
Thursday, April 27, 2023, in Cadiz.
Born November 1, 1927, in West Salem, Illinois, she was the daughter of the late Clarence M. McConnell and Mary (Davis) McConnell. She was a Civil Service employee, where she worked as a secretary at Scott Air Force Base in Illinois for over 30 years. She was known as the neighborhood mom when her kids were growing up. Mrs. Frances enjoyed going to yard sales and most especially, loved being “Grandma” to her grandchildren. She was a member of First Christian Church in Belleville, Illinois.
