A Hopkinsville man was charged with DUI after he allegedly led law enforcement on a short pursuit Tuesday night.
Hopkinsville Police say they attempted to stop 58-year-old William Crick after a report of him being intoxicated in the Arby’s drive-thru on West 7th Street.
He reportedly had slurred speech and almost wrecked his vehicle in the drive-thru.
Police say he fled when they walked up to his vehicle on West 7th Street, he then turned onto Dawson Springs Road before coming to a stop at the intersection of Eagle Way.
He was arrested and charged with DUI third offense, first-degree fleeing or evading police, and possession of an open alcoholic container in a motor vehicle.
