Hopkinsville’s Fletcher Announces Retirement From City

Following 27 years of dedicated service to residents, legislators, administrators and employees for the City of Hopkinsville, Christine “Crissy” Fletcher has announced her retirement late Friday afternoon.

A Master Municipal Clerk (MMC), her last official day in service to the city will be August 1.

Fletcher began this career in 1996, and within two years was appointed deputy clerk. In 2002, she moved to assistant city clerk, and by 2006 was appointed city clerk. She held that spot ever since.

Her qualifications are many. She possesses master-level certifications through the Kentucky Municipal Clerks Association and the International Institute of Municipal Clerks. She served three terms as KMCA president and one term as vice-president. And her service to KMCA allowed her to design training and conferences for clerks across the Commonwealth of Kentucky.
