Princeton Man Indicted On Murder Charge After Assault Victim Dies

A Princeton man has been indicted for murder in connection to an assault that occurred in Caldwell County earlier this year.

The Caldwell County Grand Jury returned the indictment Tuesday charging 33-year old Trever Tucker with the murder of Patricia Squires, who passed away in late March while in hospice care at Mercy Health in Paducah.

Tucker was previously indicted in March on two counts of first-degree assault after the Caldwell County Sheriff’s Office called state police to investigate a domestic dispute in the 100 block of H Haile Road in Dawson Springs around 10:00 on the night of January 9th.

According to state police, troopers arrived at the scene and found two adult females who had been injured with a knife when they were assaulted by Tucker.

State police confirmed to Your News Edge Wednesday that Bailey Whitman was transported by ambulance to Jennie Stuart Health in Hopkinsville and her mother, Squires was flown by helicopter to Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, Indiana. State police say Squires was later transferred to hospice care in Paducah where she died.

Tucker remains lodged in the Caldwell County Jail on a $1 million bond.
