Man Charged With Burglary After Taking Chicken Nuggets

A Hopkinsville man was charged with burglary and fleeing from police after a report of a burglary in progress on South Fowler Avenue Tuesday afternoon.

Hopkinsville Police say 38-year-old Paul Christian enter the home and stole chicken nuggets before fleeing on foot.

When law enforcement stopped him to talk to him he reportedly told them ” I’m an emperor, I’m Jesus Christ” and then fled from them before he was taken into custody.

Police say while en route to the jail, he was asked if he had used any narcotics and he told them he did smoke meth occasionally to become one with God.

He was charged with second-degree burglary, second-degree fleeing or evading police, and public intoxication.
