Work Zone Resuming March 20 For I-24 In Trigg & Christian County

Officials with the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet announced plans Wednesday to resume a westbound daytime work zone lane restriction for I-24 Monday, March 20 in Trigg County.

This restriction will come to I-24 westbound from the 69 to 68 mile markers near the Trigg-Christian County line, in order to allow maintenance work continue for the stabilization on a right-of-way that may be impacting some concrete pavement slabs.

Because of this work, the KYTC Trigg County highway maintenance crew will be working in the median.

Motorists should be alert for slowing and merging traffic as they approach the 69 mile marker, as all traffic will move to the right-hand or driving lane in this work zone.

Due to excavations along the median area, this work zone will remain up around the clock until the work is completed.

Drivers should be aware of trucks hauling material into and out of the work zone, and some minor delays are possible due to the movement and positioning of equipment to facilitate the work.

This work zone lane restriction is expected to be in place for about one week, and there will be no impact on eastbound travel in this work zone.
