Bond Reduction Denied For Holt

In a continuance from last week, Judge Andrew Self denied a motion to reduce bond Wednesday afternoon in Christian County Circuit Court — with regards to Tyron Holt.

Charged with complicity to murder in the Oak Grove shooting of 18-year-old Clarksville man Gailon Toler, Holt had originally been indicted for one count of murder by a grand jury.

During a September 2022 hearing, however, former Commonwealth’s Attorney Rick Boling issued to the courts his willingness to modify the indictment — based on facts that witnesses did not place a gun in Holt’s hands at the time of Toler’s death.

Police said Toler was found with multiple gunshot wounds outside of a mobile home on Tyler Street just after 2 AM May 22, 2022.

Next to his defender Munroe Graham and newly-appointed Commonwealth’s Attorney Stephanie Bolen, Holt spoke for himself during his Wednesday hearing.

Following his denial of bond reduction, Self noted the defense had a motion for a new trial — particularly since one has already been vacated.

Graham said the time frame should be “as soon as we can quickly get this done,” but Bolen added that she has “no idea yet” if she’s to be the prosecuting attorney, due to a myriad of factors along the docket.

Self continued this hearing to March 22.

Self added that if no clarity is presented on the prosecuting front by next week, a trial date for Holt would have to wait.
