Teenager Flown To Hospital After Christian County Pursuit

A teenager was flown to a Nashville hospital after a short pursuit on Kentucky 1682 Friday night.

Christian County Sheriff’s deputies say they attempted to stop two vehicles that were racing at speeds of 90 mph on Hopkinsville Bypass when one of the vehicles fled.

The pursuit reportedly came to an end on Antioch Road when the vehicle ran off the road and hit a tree ejecting the 17-year-old driver.

The juvenile driver was treated and transported by Hopkinsville EMS to a waiting helicopter that flew him to a Nashville hospital with severe injuries.

The Christian County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by Hopkinsville EMS and Highland Fire Department.
