Grand Jury Returns Child Abuse, Theft And Burglary Indictments

The Christian County Grand Jury returned several felony indictments Friday including charges of criminal child abuse, theft, and burglary.

A true bill was returned on 35-year old Yarumy Grimaldo, of Pembroke, on one count of first-degree criminal abuse of a child 12 or under.

According to the indictment, Grimaldo is accused of intentionally abusing a minor child under the age of twelve between August 12, 2022, and August 18, 2022, and “placing her in a situation that may cause serious physical injury, or by causing torture or cruel punishment,” or by allowing her to be abuse.

20-year old Miques K. Crutcher, of Oak Grove, was indicted on a single count of theft by unlawful taking over $10,000 – Auto.

On or about October 31, 2022, the indictment alleges Crutcher unlawfully took a 2023 Toyota Camry belonging to George Baxter. The vehicle was reportedly worth more than $10,000.

The grand jury indicted 39-year old Tiffany L. Gilkey, of Hopkinsville, on one count of theft by deception, over $1,000 under $10,000.

According to the indictment, Gilkey allegedly stole money from T-Mobile, where she was employed, by not making cash deposits into the business bank account between December 24, 2021, and January 26, 2022,

27-year old Crystal A. Killebrew, of Hopkinsville, was indicted on a single count of third-degree burglary.

The indictment says on or about December 24, 2022, Killebrew unlawfully entered or remained in a building owned by Walmart with the intent to commit a crime.

A true-bill was returned on 39-year old Brandon Wayne Keyes, of Crofton, on charges of second-degree fleeing or evading police on foot, first-degree possession of a controlled substance – methamphetamine, possession of an open alcohol beverage container in a motor vehicle, possession of drug paraphernalia, and rear license not illuminated.

The charges lodged against Keyes are from an incident that occurred on October 24, 2022.

64-year old Samuel R. Balderas, of Hopkinsville, was indicted on charges of first-degree possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, operating on a suspended/revoked operator’s license, failure to wear seat belts, failure to produce insurance card, and rear license not illuminated.

The charges stem from January 5, 2023 when Hopkinsville Police conducted a traffic stop for a license plate not illuminated and Balderas was found in possession of meth.

And the grand jury indicted 35-year old Rebecca Miller on one count of first-degree promoting contraband from January 5, 2023, after she slid an item under one of the jail doors in an attempt to give suspected meth to an inmate incarcerated at the Christian County Jail.
