Tennessee Man Charged With Possession Of Drugs

A Clarksville man was charged with possession of drugs after a report of a wreck on Lonnie Walker Highway in Herndon Tuesday morning.

Christian County Sheriff’s deputies say they were called to the area for a report of a wreck with an unconscious man inside the vehicle.

When they arrived, 24-year-old Anthony Nelson reportedly told deputies he pulled to the side of the road because he was tired.

Deputies say while they were talking with him they could see a pipe used for smoking narcotics in his jacket pocket. After a search of his belongings, two bags containing a crystal substance suspected to be meth were reportedly located.

He was arrested and charged with possession of meth and drug paraphernalia.
