Annual Cadiz Rotary Auction Just Two Months Away

President Alana Baker-Dunn

The Cadiz Rotary Club is gearing up for another yearly auction and is asking for the community’s support once again.

President Alana Baker-Dunn tells the News Edge this year’s event will take place the week of April 10 in the Cadiz Baptist Church Annex building after a break due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Baker-Dunn says Rotarians will start asking for item donations this week.

The theme for this year is “Homegrown,” something Baker-Dunn has made a point to emphasize during her tenure as president.

As the auction returns to its longtime home, the Country Store will make a comeback.

The auction’s goal is $300,000, and it can be heard on 106.5 WKDZ, WKDZradio.com, or the free WKDZ app.

The W.J. Hopson Kick-off Breakfast will take place Monday, April 10 at the Lake Barkley State Resort Park Convention Center. Doors open at 6 a.m. and the program starts at 7 a.m.

Tickets are $50 per person or $300 for tables of eight and can be purchased through any Rotarian or by contacting Sharon Butts at (270) 350-2014 or by emailing sharonbutts@triggindustry.com.
