LBL Heritage And Recreation Act Ensures Future Of Recreation Area

The proposed Land Between the Lakes Heritage and Recreation Act will provide much-needed funding for repairs and upkeep of facilities at the recreation area, with more oversight and protection for burial rights also included.

Former Lyon County Judge Executive Wade White told the News Edge he worked with a group of local officials and LBL supporters to craft the framework of the legislation, with Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell and First District Congressman James Comer working to move the legislation through Congress and to the desk of President Joe Biden.
