A Hopkinsville man was arrested on a warrant Wednesday morning for a theft of a vehicle in Tennessee that happened in 2020.
Hopkinsville Police say they arrested 44-year-old Anthony Bumpers on Lafayette Road on a warrant out of Smyrna Tennessee for theft of a motor vehicle.
On December 12th, 2020 he reportedly took his girlfriend’s keys and her car during a verbal altercation. Police say they were able to make contact with him on the phone and he claimed he was going to bring the vehicle back but never did.
Bumpers was located after a disturbance with a female Wednesday morning who said he took items from her in Hopkinsville and after being questioned he was found to have marijuana in his possession.
He is charged with failure to appear and possession of marijuana in Kentucky.
