Clarksville Couple Charged With Receiving Stolen Property

A Clarksville man and woman were charged with receiving stolen property after a traffic stop in Hopkinsville Saturday night.

Hopkinsville Police say they were called to the area after city cameras located a vehicle that had been reported stolen.

The vehicle was located on Sharpe Street and reportedly was driven by Niecha Hampton who stated she was just driving the vehicle from Clarksville to Hopkinsville.

Police say a passenger in the vehicle 38-year-old Robert Armour had been given the keys to the vehicle and he along with 30-year-old Olivia Hampton had Niecha Hampton drive because she knew the area.

After a search of the vehicle, a marijuana blunt, cocaine, a scale, and a glass smoking device were allegedly found.

Olivia Hampton was charged with receiving stolen property and possession of marijuana. Armour was charged with receiving stolen property and possession of cocaine.

They both also had active warrants for probation violations.
